Truckers4RonPaul.org Newsletter
Eighth Issue
December 2007
Dear Aaron,

Welcome to the eigth issue of the Truckers4RonPaul.org newsletter.

To help keep Ron Paul's name out there, we've found some great resources that we're promoting on the site.

The first, many of you have already noticed, is the addition of the Ron Paul Magnetic Signs available on the website AT COST.  We now have two different designs (the newest is pictured at the article head at rght) to choose from!

We've also found a great lady who's willing to get you a fourteen foot, self-adhesive vinyl sign for your trailer at only $275/pair - this is awesome!!!

So tell your friends about Ron Paul and keep on truckin'!

Sincerely,

Aaron Turpen

The Astonishing Power of Canvassing

If the same 38,000 supporters who donated their hard earned dollars on November 5th to achieve 4.2 million dollars in one day invested just 10 full days canvassing their neighbors (38 million households), Ron Paul would win this election in a landslide decisive victory. Victory is ours if we pro-actively reach out and take it. What price are we willing to pay for freedom? What will be the cost of failure?

One person can't do it by themselves. Dr. Paul can't do it by himself either. But working together we will do it.

Please forward me your Name, Legislative District, and Precinct and I will generate your precinct walking list so that you to can help ensure a Ron Paul victory.

Boston Tea Party Event

Dec. 16, 2007 is the anniversarry of the Boston Tea Party, held on that date in 1773.

To commemorate this event, a grassroots group of patriots is holding a fundraising event in which they plan to dump millions of dollars into the Ron Paul campaign to protest the inflation tax!

Go to http://teaparty07.com/

You can also join the Ron Paul Revolutionaries in New Hampshire and surrounding states during this event. See this site for more info: freedomsphoenix.com/

The Ron Paul Blimp!
Launching December 10th, the blimp organizers need your support.

Ron Paul Blimp
This is a picture of what the Ron Paul blimp might look like.  No one knows for sure, of course, because it hasn't been unveiled yet...

The organizers of this stupendous gimmick to promote Ron Paul found a blimp owner whos company had a derigible whos contract was up in December.  The owner, being a Ron Paul supporter, offered the blimp, crew, artwork, and 180 hours of flight time for a rock-bottom price.  A price which the organizers are less than $40,000 away from achieving.

Yep, that's right!  If the $200,000 needed is raised by midnight tomorrow (Friday) night, the blimp will be in Boston for the Tea Party event on the 16th and might even fly over the Super Bowl, Times Square on New Years, and more!

So get on over to ronpaulblimp.com and donate today to make this a reality!  You might even get to ride in the blimp yourself...

Letter From Ron Paul
Talking about the CNN/YouTube debates - the stuff you don't see..
The Desk of Congressman Paul
December 3, 2007

Want to know a secret? There were two moments I especially enjoyed at the CNN/YouTube debate -- despite my frustration at some of the questions, and the maldistribution of time.

First, I was pleased at John McCain's attack, which he clearly had planned. Not because that sort of stream-of-consciousness nonsense about Hitler and WWII -- when the neocons openly want what they call WW IV! Are we to forget that the first war crime charged at Nuremberg was waging aggressive war?

I mean this: mainstream politicians NEVER attack an opponent they think is far behind. The McCain campaign, we've heard, is worried sick about New Hampshire, and they thought a slam at me would help. Ha! Of course, it only strengthened our forces.

Then, after the debate, Rudy Giuliani walked up to me and said, "Oooh, you sure have a LOT of supporters." It's only the beginning, I told him.

Indeed, he could have told that by the crowd outside after the debate. Mitt Romney had a few people, but no one else did. We, on the other hand, had about 500 enthusiastic revolutionaries, plus a boat, a trolley, and two planes towing lighted signs. As I looked out at the crowd, I thought: the establishment has no idea of what they are facing. We have an army of freedom, prosperity, and peace. As the LA Times political blog noted the other day, the British also thought they had no problem with the Americans--until Yorktown.

But we have an astoundingly short time before the first contests. The Iowa caucuses are on January 3, the New Hampshire primary is on January 8, and Nevada and South Carolina are both on January 19. We have only 30 days to stake our claim to the nomination, and to the new America that restores the ideals of the founders, and leads the world through free enterprise, a sound dollar, the rule of law, and peaceful example. Not through inflation and bombs.

Help me surprise the neocons and all the establishment with our success. Help me build the foundation for the America we all want. Send your most generous contribution: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate. The military-industrial complex, the biased media, the big banks, the Fed, the waterboarders, and the IRS don't like what we're doing. But every good American is applauding us, and daring to hope for a better future.

Please, help me give it to them, to us, to all Americans to come. Keep this revolution growing and winning: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate.

Sincerely,

Ron

The Ron Paul 2008 Iowa Campaign Committee needs your help.
Truckers4RonPaul.orgIt's finally come, December, which means the Iowa Caucuses are less than a month away. We have a lot of work to do, please note the three different topics.

Topic 1: Ron Paul's Christmas Vacation

School is out, and the Ron Paul Revolution storming Iowa!

All students are invited to join us in Iowa Dec. 14-23 and Dec. 27-Jan. 4 for Ron Paul's Christmas Vacation.

If you're a student and you can get to Iowa, the campaign will provide you with the rest. Food, housing, and gas will be covered for 150 students in Iowa. All you have to do is get there.

To be a part of the Ron Paul Revolution and make history in Iowa, please RSVP today .

Its winter break, students are on vacation, and Iowa needs us. Make the trip and be a part of something you will never forget. And, yes, Dr. Paul will be in Iowa during both weeks! Bring your friends. Bring your Students for Ron Paul chapter. Bring every Ron Paul student supporter you know. During the 19 days we will be in Iowa, I expect us to reach 10,000 Iowans.

25,000 Ron Paul caucus goers on Jan. 3 secures Ron Paul a top 3 finish. Students can be all the difference in Iowa!

Any questions/comments please email Jeff Frazee.

Topic 2:  Weekend Walk Off Project

The second Ron Paul Weekend Walk Off is this weekend! This Saturday, Dec. 8 at 9:00 AM CT we are meeting in Waterloo, Iowa. We are gathering at the far end of the parking lot at HyVee supermarket (the manager is a huge Ron Paul Supporter!):

HyVee Supermarket
4000 University Ave
Waterloo, IA 50701

We plan to go door to door to reach over 100,000 people.  I know this goal is very possible. Be sure to dress warm, wear good walking shoes and bring a backpack. We will have fliers and maps for you and also provide granola bars and water. The plan is to work straight through the day to maximize daylight, so you may want to bring an additional snack for yourself.

The Waterloo Weekend Walk Off is the second of 3 weekends taking place here in Iowa. The 3rd Weekend Walk Off will be in Davenport, Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 15.  Mark this date on your calendar and stay tuned for further information or visit our Iowa State HQ .

Email Meghann Walker to RSVP for the Weekend Walk Off or if you have any questions.

We would like to thank all the people from out-of-state that have been interested in physically moving to Iowa for a week or more to help and be a part of this growing campaign as we are now into the last month.

We will provide direction for you and tasks we need to accomplish once you get to Iowa.  Please note that this effort will be entirely at your own expense. Please email Meghann Walker about opportunities to volunteer.

Thank you so much for all you have done so far. All the money and time you have donated to freedom will never go unnoticed. We are truly making history in this great nation.

Rudy's Nightmare
Lonesome Dove says:
While driving (as ususal) the other day, and listening to Xm's Bozo show, I heard A Ron Paul ad.  A little later, I heard the same ad on CNN Channel 122. Ron Paul is the first Candidate ads I have heard so far.

Also, I called in and got on the Truckin Bozo show and threw "Truckers4RonPaul" a bone.  Bozo was talking to me, and reading the Truckin4RonPaul web-page.  We were discussing the NAFTA thing, and some other issues. I'm not sure if you heard it, I am the Lonesome Dove caller.  Anyways, I hope it got your wedsite a boost, and more-so, I hope it got Ron Paul the boost he needs.

I constantly go down the road and call out on the Radio "Ron Paul for President".  Alot of times I get a good response.  Most of the time I get "who's he?".  And that is my invitation to open the flood gates of information to them about Ron Paul.  9 times out of 10, when I'm done with them, they support Ron Paul.

I always tell them a few facts about other candidates as in Fred Thompson, and how he supports the North American Union. (google Fred thompson+NAU for the youtube video)

Anyways, good luck

Aaron's note: Lonesome Dove's rig can be seen on our Haulin' For Paul page!

Frank says:
No one's giving you any problems at the chicken coop for your Ron Paul signs? From what I'm hearing in the northeast law enforcement  is really down on Ron Paul.

Aaron's reply:
Good question, Frank.  I haven't had any problems with them and have even had a couple of them ask me if I knew where they could get bumper stickers.  I don't go to the northeast, though, since I'm mainly 16 Western in my runs.

If a driver did send me info about harassment over it, I'd be sure to publish it and make sure everyone knows where the problems lie so that letters, phone calls, etc. could be written to wake the morons up.  :)

Note to non-truckers: a "chicken coop" is a weigh scale/D.O.T. stop, also called a Port of Entry.

I am damn proud of you all!  RON PAUL!
